What are good campgrounds in the MA/NH/RI area?

Q. My friends and I are looking for a place to go tent camping for a weekend. We want to be within about 20-30 minutes of a beach, but also near a forest/state park/mountains (woods less important than beach). The site has to be alcohol friendly and have late quiet time hours. Any ideas would be appreciated

Any of the larger campgrounds on Cape Cod or just inland from Salisbury Beach, MA/Hampton Beach NH would probably do. (they are right next to each other on the MA - NH line) Try searching for Cape Cod or Coastal MA and NH campgrounds. The state and national park campgrounds are pretty much alcohol free. You won't find any coastal camp grounds that are close to the mountains in southern New England.

NH is a great place as well as Maine, I like to go to Hermit Island which is east of Bath , Maine , lots of deer and wildlife and just great hiking along the Maine coast.
