top tents for camping image

We are going away for four days. We are tent camping, what are some ideas for dinners that we can make over a camp fire?
Answer
are you bringing a pot?
i suggest bringing two pots... and two lids...
If your not bringing a pot disregard my answer...
and if your not camping by a river or stream, then you need to bring your own water.
If your bringing a pot, and your camping by a stream or river, you could make spaghetti and sauce. [bring sauce in a PLASTIC container]
You could also bring little prepackaged things like top ramen, and cup of noodle [or cup of soup...i dont remember]
You could bring preseasoned rice containers[theyre in boxes], and beans, and cook that over the fire. Bring some dried meat as well[jerky].
You can bring hard sausages, like salami, and any cheese in wax, crusty bread [not sliced] , and canned or jarred olives.
Fresh fruits and veggies are always fun, bring carrots, onions, broccoli, bell peppers, and a bag of white rice, and use one pan to cook the rice, and one to sautee the veggies. bring along some teriyaki sauce [bottles of course] and you have some delicious stir fry!
You should have this meal the first night, so it doesnt go bad [unless your bringing a cooler of course]
oatmeal and fruit [apples, oranges/grapefruit...things that dont spoil easily] are a good breakfast. bring cinnamon if you want to make things more tasty!
canned fruit works just as well.
If your going to be fishing, bring some lemons and herbs, and some foil [optional] and then some extra veggies. You can steam the veggies with the foil, [poke hole in foil and wrap around top of pan. place veggies on top of foil. make sure pan is filled with water first though!] and also wrap the fish in the foil with some lemon and herbs and throw it on the fire.
yum!
If your bringing spices, bring cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar, lemons, and allspice, add to pot, add a little water, and chop up the apples.
simmer apples in the mixture until tender, enjoy with oatmeal for breakfast, or alone!
If your bringing a cooler, You can make almost ANYTHING!!! please respond if your bringing a cooler and i will give you plenty more things to make

Where are the best places to camp at Lake Shasta?
Rev.
I am looking for some good tent camping, privacy is among the top for importance. I would of course like to be on the lake. I am also hoping to find some sites with pictures as well as a place that takes reservations. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You
