Has anyone ever gone to Lake Siskiyou Camp Resort near Mt. Shasta? If so what is it like?

I am looking for somewhere family friendly, with good spacious, shady tent sites. I don't like rowdy crowds either like you find at places like Lake Berryessa, (drunken teenagers). Where else would someone recommend in the forest near the mountains in California. Anywhere from Sequoia NP up to Oregon border. Thank you!

There are several nice spots on the upper sacramento river, north of redding, and up to dunsmuir. check them out. Castle Crags has some good ones

Best place to camp at Shasta Lake?

Q. I have never been to shasta lake, CA and wanted to go camping there around June/July. Is that the best time to go? And where is the best place to camp over there?

At "Bailey Cove", each site has a tent pad, picnic table, raised fire ring, bear boxes, and paved parking spur. And each camping site has brick pavers which provide increased accessibility.
