Where is a good place for a river/float/camping trip?

My friends and I would like to go on a camping trip this summer. We are picturing canoeing down a river and camping in a tent on the shore in like a forest I guess. We want the river to be very easy to navigate with no danger possible. We live in Kansas and don't want to drive more than 7 hours; we were thinking somewhere in Arkansas or South or North Dakota. Any suggestions or tips? Thanks

Do Illinois Walmarts have guns and recreation sections?

I'm trying to write a little story that starts in an almost post apocalyptic town in Illinois. Here in Arkansas we have a gun section and a camping aisle I was wondering if walmarts there had guns and tents and stuff?

Well it really does depend on the state like i use to live in New York and after 911 no bb guns or airsoft guns. Never had regular guns but now in South Carolina they only have airsoft and bb guns no real guns.
